This is the seventh installment of the series Unlimited Rice: Everyday Food for the Soul. In the Hebrew language, seven is the perfect number. Even in the fields of physics, chemistry, or music, the concept of the number seven plays an important role. All music that can possibly be written is grounded on seven basic notes. The eighth note is simply the first note but an octave higher or lower. When sunlight passes through a prism, it is broken up into seven colors: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red—the colors of the rainbow. There are seven basic crystal systems in minerals.

This doesn’t mean that this series has reached perfection. This simply means that seven years of experience have enriched the publication of this book. The seventh year of a child is greatly celebrated because this means that he or she has overcome the many dangers inherent with growing up.
