The Obedient Church webinar attracts 84 churches

The Obedient Church webinar held last August 28 attracted 84 churches which were represented by a total of 136 participants. They all learned about the different legalities that churches must comply with.

The resource speaker was Atty. Ray Velasco, who is a senior associate of the Castilo Laman Tan Pantaleon and San Jose Law Firm. He also serves as part of their church’s leadership group. He handles their church’s government compliances.

He discussed the following:

  1. The importance of SEC registration
  2. The necessity of taxpayer registration and compliance
  3. Knowing when to register with SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG
  4. Knowing if a mayor’s permit is required
  5. The importance of data privacy registration, and
  6. Knowing the relevant anti-money laundering reports.


During the webinar, he also stressed that it is very important to comply with the government regulations not only to avoid penalties but to serve as a good testimony to other people.

The next webinar will be MINISTERING THROUGH COUNSELING. Learn the ways of counseling in the BASIC COUNSELING SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES online workshop on September 18, 2021 (Saturday) and ADVANCED LEVELS OF COUNSELING on September 25, 2021 (Saturday), both at 8:30AM to 12NN via Zoom.

The facilitators are Ptr. Archie de la Cruz and Dr. Alain Dizon, who are both counselors and trainers from AMARA Center for Counseling and Training. Ptr. Archie de la Cruz is also a radio anchor for 104.3 DWAY Care FM while Dr. Alain Dizon is a facilitator for HIV Channels of Hope World Vision Int’l, a board member at AIDS Link International, and a coach at iHelp Coaching & Business Solutions, Inc.
